ShackStream: Big city nights

The ShackStream returns with a look at the current state of Cities: Skylines after several years of DLC and mod development.

Welcome back to the ShackStream, good folks. Following an extended Independence Day holiday weekend, the stream team is back at it with a look at Cities: Skylines. Originally release in 2015, the game was an instant success for publisher Paradox Interactive and was able to capitalize on demand from city management buffs following an intensely disappointing release from Electronic Arts and Maxis with SimCity 2013.

On today’s episode of the ShackStream, The Wolf and friends check in on Cities: Skylines to see how the game has progressed over the last 5 years of DLC updates and mod development. The city-building sim has one of the most active Steam Workshop communities going, providing owners of the game with a nearly limitless amount of new content, assets, and mods. The city that was started Tuesday will continue to be grown and expanded. Drop by and help name landmarks and streets!

The fun kicks off at 3:10 PM ET (12:10 PM PT) on the Official Shacknews Twitch Channel.
