To join the Gears 5 tech test on Xbox One, players will need to have joined up with the Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This will give them instant access to the tech test when it goes live in July. If you aren’t a Game Pass member, then you can also preorder the game digitally through the Xbox Store, or via any of the retail stores that have it available. If you preorder it in a physical store, you should receive a code that you can then enter into the Xbox Store to gain access to the tech test when it launches next month.
If you want to join the Gears 5 tech test on Windows 10 PC, you’ll have two options. First, you can subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for PC. This will give you access to the test with your membership, so just keep it active until after the tech test passes. If you don’t want to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass for PC, then you can preorder Gears 5 through the Windows Store to gain access to the technical test as well.
