Bayonetta fans unite. The first two games in the series were fantastic, with Bayonetta 2 netting itself as a Nintendo exclusive on the Wii U and Switch. With 2019 holding so much for Nintendo, many were sure we’d see more out of the series at E3. Unfortunately, PlatinumGames hit series was absent from the conference this year, leaving many to question just exactly where was Bayonetta 3 at E3 2019?

Where was Bayonetta 3 at E3 2019?

Back in 2017, Nintendo and PlatinumGames teased the heck out of Bayonetta fans with a new teaser trailer for the third title in the series. Many were expecting to hear more about the game—which is currently in development for the Nintendo Switch—but were disappointed when Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct came and went without any notice.

Like many of the other projects currently in development at Nintendo, it makes sense that they are holding off on showing anything new until they’ve managed to get their feet under them a little bit more. The first two games in the Bayonetta series were huge for PlatinumGames and pulling off that success a third time isn’t going to be an easy job. But we have faith in the team and we’re sure that Nintendo will share more in the coming months as information becomes more applicable to the public.

We’ll keep an eye out for any additional news out of Nintendo and PlatinumGames.
