The Pokeball Plus is compatible with Sword and Shield

The Switch accessory will work with the next gen Pokemon titles.


Nintendo announced during its E3 2019 direct that the Pokeball Plus will be compatible with Pokemon Sword and Shield. Originally released for the Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee games, the Pokeball Plus can be used to take Pokemon out of the games and carry them around with you. This works as a successor to the Pokewalker device from Soul Silver and Heart Gold. The Pokeball plus also works as a joycon, players can use it to control their character and catch Pokemon.
