Square Enix’s press conference showed off details for different entries in their iconic Final Fantasy franchise. One of which was Final Fantasy XIV, an MMO released in 2010. The expansion, titled Shadowbringers, brings plenty of new content for players to experience. Nine years after its initial release, FFXIV still has a strong fanbase, so it’s good to see Square Enix still supporting it with sizable updates. Below is a recently released trailer for Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers.

The trailer shows off epic fights, dramatic scenes, and new opponents. Square Enix further details the DLC on their website, “Explore breathtaking new environments, encounter exotic new races, master exciting new jobs, and fight alongside prominent characters with the new Trust system as you embark on a new journey as the Warrior of Darkness!”

The Shadowbringers expansion brings about several additions to the world of Final Fantasy XIV. New jobs provide more ways for players to experience day to day gameplay, and a new playable race opens up for more diverse options in terms of combat and abilities. For those that have already reached the max level, Shadowbringers is raising the level cap from 70 to 80. The best part of an MMO is being able to team up with other players around the globe. In Shadowbringers, you can quad up and form a team of 8 players to take on new raids. Lastly, you can go back and revisit old adventures and moments in your career thanks to the implementation of New Game+.

Players can experience all of the perks and bonuses when Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers releases for PS4 and PC on July 2. If you preorder Shadowbringers, you’ll be granted early access to the content starting on June 28 at 2AM PT. You’ll also get a baby Gremlin minion and a pair of Aetheryte Earrings.
