Solaris Offworld Combat was announced during the UploadVR E3 2019 presentation. This comes from First Contact Entertainment, the developers of Firewall Zero Hour. Please be sure to check out the announcement trailer below!

There’s really not a lot to go on here. A title, the platforms it’s releasing on, and a “coming soon”. All that we’re given to work with is the title of the game, Solaris Offworld Combat. However, based on the developer’s previous work, we can make some assumptions about what sort of gameplay we can expect in Solaris Offworld Combat.

First Contact Entertainment are responsible for Firewall Zero Hour, a first-person game where players take on the role of a SWAT operative. The intense combat sees players infiltrating buildings in order to subdue threats. Special attention is given to the weapons as well as the equipment players use.

Before the small teaser, one of the developers from First Contact Entertainment took to the camera to give a little idea about what’s involved. Solaris Offworld Combat is described as a “fast-paced multiplayer shooter, in VR”.

Based on this, and the title, it seems like Solaris Offworld Combat will be a kind of science fiction first-person shooter where players compete against one another. This will presumably be an online-multiplayer game.

Solaris Offworld Combat is set to release on the Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift 2.
