Microsoft blew the lid off of E3 2019 yesterday, showcasing more information about Gears of War 5 (just called Gears 5 now) as well as some other hit titles that Xbox fans can look forward to throughout the rest of the year. On top of a release date for Gears 5, we also got a slick new trailer focused on Kait, the main protagonist for the upcoming sequel. The song in question is one of hit singer Billie Eilish’s debut songs, featured on her album ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’ Bury a Friend is the song playing in the Gears 5 Kait, Broken E3 2019 trailer. Of course, it’s lightly edited to really fit the trailer, but you can listen to the song on Spotify, or via the official music video below.
No matter how you break things down, Gears 5 is looking to be one action-packed ride when it releases later this year. Bury a Friend fits perfectly with the theme of the upcoming game, and the entire trailer is outstanding, giving us a look at the kind of evil that Kait will face in the newest entry of the Gears of War series.
Be warned, the official music video for the song could be a bit much, as it does include some strange scenes, as well as some bright flashing lights.
