Sunday's Xbox E3 Briefing continued with the latest reveal for Dying Light 2. It's a brand new trailer, introducing some never-before-seen characters. However, it also includes a look at the game's tentative release window.

Sunday's trailer offers some brand new details on the Dying Light 2 story. It takes place 15 years after the events of the first Dying Light, with humanity barely managing to hang on to its existence. Humans are now separated into factions and are battling it out for power, while the infected continue to pick them off. When the sun sets and the infected depart, that's when the human factions battle for supplies and supremacy.

This is also a first look at Dying Light 2's new main character. Aiden Caldwell is an infected survivor, with incredible agility giving him the tools he needs to survive encounters with the infected. Players will make various decisions over the course of the game that will not only impact Aiden's survival against the infected, but also helps determine which human factions thrive. Player choice can influence how the world is ultimately shaped.

Dying Light 2 was originally revealed at last year's E3, with Techland switching publishers from Deep Silver to Square Enix. But now there appears to be a release window in place. Look for Dying Light 2 to hit Xbox One, as well as PC and PlayStation 4, in Spring 2020.
