As Apex Legends prepares to launch its second season, the development team took the stage at EA Play 2019 to show off a variety of new cosmetics, a new weapon, and a new game mode. While fans were happy about these developments, the real star of the show was the reveal of Wattson, an all-new Legend and the tenth selectable character on the Apex Legends roster.
When Apex Legends launched earlier this year after a surprise announcement, it offered players a total of 8 playable Legends, with two being locked from the outset. Back in the middle of March, Respawn released Octane, the ninth playable character.
Wattson becomes the tenth playable Legend on the game’s roster. The news of her existence might not be a huge surprise to Apex Legends diehards thanks to a datamined leak back in March. Respawn mentioned that Wattson is incredibly intelligent and is likely the only character capable of uniting the entire roster of Apex Legends. They explained that she is an electrical engineer with skill capable of completely changing how encounters will play out.

Chris Jarrard posted a new article, Wattson joins the Apex Legends roster at EA Play 2019
Man, he was tough in jeopardy, I wonder how this will compare?
Looks interesting but best addition is ranked mode, no more getting destroyed instantly (hopefully)
