Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition free on Humble Bundle

The latest Humble Bundle promotion allows players to download, play, and keep Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition entirely for free.

Humble Bundle is a great place to get deep discounts on video games, and the latest promotion is about as deep as discounts get. From now until May 19, players can download and play Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition entirely for free. Even better, users who download the game during the promotional period will be able to keep it forevermore.

In a rather interesting FAQ section on the game's Humble Bundle Store listing, the crew at Humble Bundle provide answers to presumably unanswered questions, such as, "What's this?" and "Are you sure it isn't a mistake?" No, it's not a mistake — the storefront is working closely with developers to offer free games, and the Super Turbo Championship Edition of Guacamelee! is the latest in a long line of Humble Bundle giveaways.

For all of those players who may not be familiar with DrinkBox Studio's metroidvania-inspired title, Guacamelee! follows the story of Juan Aguacate, an agave farmer whose lady friend Lupita is captured by an evil force. Fatally injured in the ensuing fray, Juan is transported to the land of the dead, wherein a luchador (a lucha libre wrestler) gives Juan a mask that not only gives him great power, but returns him to the world of living so that he might find his lost love.

As for the Super Turbo Championship Edition, it's the updated version of the game that released about a year after the base game's original launch. Offering new levels, bosses, and access to previous DLC packs, this version of the game offers the complete Guacamelee! 1 experience in one succinct package.

Be sure to pick up Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition for free from the Humble Bundle Store by May 19. After that, it's yours to cherish forever. Stay on top of other keen gaming news and deeply discounted titles by keeping your browser locked right here at Shacknews.
