Voice actors and cast in Borderlands 3

Following the game's live stream gameplay reveal event, the Borderlands 3 voice actors started taking to Twitter to announce their roles. While some of the announcements concerned voices for new characters, others revealed that previous characters are now being voiced by new actors. Here are each of the Borderlands 3 voice actors and cast members we've learned about so far.

Amara - Zehra Fazal

Zehra Fazal provides the voice of Amara in the latest Borderlands release. Known for her work in television series such as Voltron and Young Justice, Fazal got an early start in video game voice acting by voicing Kayle in League of Legends. Since then she's lent her voice to characters in Uncharted 4, Titanfall 2, Apex Legends, and Crackdown 3.

Claptrap - Jim Foronda

The new voice of Claptrap in Borderlands 3 is provided by Jim Foronda. A longtime television voice actor known for his work in shows like Fullmetal Alchemist and Dragon Ball Super, Foronda has at least 15 previous video game voice acting credits. These titles include Unreal Championship 2, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and 3, Smite, and Killing Floor 2. Of course, he also provided voices for many other characters throughout the Borderlands series, including Hank in Borderlands and Dahl in both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Ellie - Jamie Marchi

After voicing the character in the series' second and third entries, Jamie Marchi returns to voice Ellie in Borderlands 3. A veteran voice actor with over 200 television credits on her resume, Marchi has acted in surprisingly few video games. Though her first television credits date back to the early 1990s, her first video game role came in 2008 with Iron Chef America: Supreme Cousine for the Nintendo Wii and DS. Since then, she's voiced characters in games like Orcs Must Die!, Smite, and The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct.

Katagawa, Jr. - Christopher Wehkamp

Georgia-borne actor Christopher Wehkamp provides the voice of Katagawa, Jr. in the latest Gearbox release. Wehkamp has done work on nearly a hundred television and anime series including Laughing Under the Clouds, Fairy Tail, Izetta: The Last Witch, Oushitsu kyoushi Haine, Brave Witches, and Boku no Hero Academia. According to his IMDb page, Borderlands 3 is his first video game voice acting credit, and a post made to Wehkamp's Twitter page indicates that he also provided motion capture for the role of Katagawa, Jr.

Lilith / Tannis - Colleen Clinkenbeard

Colleen Clinkenbeard returns to the series after voicing Lilith and Patricia Tannis in both Borderlands 1 and 2. Another star television voice actor with credited work in anime series such as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Monster Hunter Stories: Ride On, Clinkenbeard got her start in video game voice acting playing the character of Riza Hawkeye in the English dubs of early Fullmetal Alchemist games. Since then she's gone on to voice characters in Bloodrayne 2, Aeon Flux, Ghostbusters, Orcs Must Die! 1 and 2, The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, Smite, and Battleborn.

Lorelei - Ciaran Strange

Ciaran "CJ" Strange, previously credited as Kieran Strange, is relatively unknown in the world of voice acting. Known primarily for his writing and musical career, Strange has appeared in guest spots on TV series I Am Time, Zoolaplex, and The Switch. As far as we can tell, Borderlands 3 is his first video game voice acting credit, though his voice can be heard by checking out his band We Are The Chaos over on Bandcamp.

Moxxi - Brina Palencia

Rhys - Ray Chase

Troy Calypso - Max Mittelman
