If you walk up to a Red Helmet Chest, you’ll probably notice the distinct lack of any prompt to open it up. This is because you’re going to need to first gain access to the chest by destroying the helmet that protects it. Thankfully, doing so is quite simple. All you need to do to gain access to a Red Helmet Chest is use Shao Kahn’s Hammer and break the helmet. This will remove it from the chest, giving you access to pay whatever the chest’s unlock price might be.
