It’s not enough to know that a video game will be good with how busy people are these days. Gamers need to know how much time a game will take to beat to feel confident that they’ll get proper value for the money they spend. As players get ready to click the buy button on the PlayStation Store, they want to know how long does it take to beat Days Gone?

How long does it take to beat Days Gone?

While speaking with Game Informer, John Garvin, Bend Studio’s creative director, stated “So, the golden-path story is something like 30 hours but, you know, it’s going to take a lot longer than that because things are going to happen to you along the way depending on how careful you are.”

Knowing the main story is going to be about 30 hours doesn’t tell us exactly how long to expect to be in the game, but details about Days Gone give some hints. It’s an open-world title, which means there will be lots to see and do besides the main story, and Garvin has stated that players should expect to be interrupted while on the path. This could push the total play time well beyond 50 hours, which is not at all uncommon for open-world games in 2019. Where the final number lands will depend on Days Gone’s level of detail in terms of the world that players are given to explore.

Days Gone is expected to release on April 26, 2019 on the PlayStation 4. For more help with the game be sure to visit the Shacknews Days Gone game guides and walkthrough page.
