Nintendo's brawler series has a new entry that is a fresh experience on the Nintendo Switch, but also pays homage to the history of the game and all the characters featured. As a possible cherry on top for the celebration of all things Super Smash Bros., Melee is a finalist for the 2019 World Video Game Hall of Fame and you can vote via the Player's Choice ballot.

Super Smash Bros. Melee is the entry that launched on Gamecube and is often regarded as the best of the bunch in the Super Smash Bros franchise. If you're unfamiliar with the game, here's the synopsis taken from the World Video Game Hall of Fame website:

"Super Smash Bros. Melee built on the success of its predecessor, Super Mash Bros., becoming the epitome of the casual fighting game. Combing popular Nintendo characters with polished, multi-player gameplay, Melee encouraged people to gather together to play. With more than seven million copies sold, Melee ranks as the best-selling game for the Nintendo GameCube, and it inspired many sequels that remain popular today, including in eSports tournaments around the world."
