BAFTA Game Awards 2019 nominees announced

The BAFTA Game Awards 2019 nominees have been officially announced and God of War is stealing the show with the most nominations of any individual game.

The 2019 BAFTA Games Awards show is nearly upon us and the production crew has finally revealed the full list of nominees for all 17 categories, spanning from games that have had the best evolution since launch all the way to the best games that go beyond entertainment.

The 2019 BAFTA Game Awards ceremony will be hosted by Dara O' Briain take place April 4, 2019, in Queen Elizabeth Hall, London and it will also be broadcast live online on YouTube, Twitch, and Mixer. Take a look at the nominations below, which features the following highlights:

  • 10 nominations for God of War, the action adventure game and the eighth installment in the series.
  • Six nominations each for Red Dead Redemption 2, Return of the Obra Dinn and Florence.
  • Five nominations for Celeste, including Game Beyond Entertainment. The game’s narrative encourages players to overcome struggles, persevere and achieve their goals with compassion, and aims to bring a greater understanding of mental illness.
  • Other nominations in Game Beyond Entertainment are 11-11: Memories Retold, Florence, Life is Strange 2, My Child Lebensborn and Nintendo Labo.
