Weekend PC Download Deals for Mar. 1: Space Engineers free weekend

Space Engineers is now out of Steam Early Access and Steam is celebrating by offering a free weekend.

With the blockbuster-filled February coming to a close, it's time to once again take what's a relative dead period to catch up on some of the best games of the past year. Steam is filled with major discounts this weekend on some of the top titles of 2018. All of the discounts from last week's Square Enix sale are still in place, while shoppers can find new deals on games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Tekken 7, and Genital Jousting, the latter of which is going for 69 percent off. Nice!

Steam is also celebrating Space Engineers coming out of Steam Early Access after years in beta. That game is going for 20 percent off and is also free to play until Sunday. Elsewhere, the Humble Monthly games have rotated out, Fanatical is still offering up great games by the bundle, and Thimbleweed Park is still free on the Epic Games Store.

Here's our selection of this weekend's PC deals:

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
