Use volcano vents 5 times - Fortnite Season 8 week 1 challenge

One of this week’s challenges in Fortnite Season 8 tasks players with using a volcano vent five times in five different matches. If you want to pull this off, then you’re going to need to first, find a volcano vent. Thankfully this is pretty easy, and we’ll point out the location of a few in our guide below.

How to find volcano vents in Fortnite

The volcano is a new landmark that players can explore and visit in Fortnite Season 8. Thanks to the massive earthquake that recently shook the island, you’ll find quite a few changes around. With the volcano, come a few new heat vents, all scattered around the location itself. Players can run across these vents to be shot high into the air, allowing them to redeploy their glider. It’s a great way to get around the map quickly, especially as you’re trying to loot your way to victory.

You can take a look at the gif above to see what the volcano vents look like, and what they do when you interact with them. In order to pull off this challenge you are going to need to interact with these vents five times. The key here, though, is that you’ll need to do that in five different matches, which means it’s going to take you a little bit to pull it off. We tried pulling it off in one match, but subsequent interactions with the volcano vents didn’t count towards the challenge.

It should be relatively easy to pull off this challenge. All it really takes is getting a good enough start path for the battle bus to get you down to the volcano area. From there you can continue your game like normal.
