Masks are a great way to hide your face when you’re committing crimes in Red Dead Redemption 2. Those putting some time into Red Dead Online will probably have found themselves on the wrong end of the law at some point. One good way to keep your wanted level down, and keep the Sheriff from looking for you, is to wear a mask whenever you commit a crime. Here we’ll tell you everything you need to know about buying and wearing masks in Red Dead Online.

How to Buy a Mask in RDO

Unlike Red Dead Redemption 2’s main campaign, players won’t find themselves already equipped with a mask when they start the game. Instead, they’ll need to visit any Tailor or General Store and take a look through the clothing catalog. Here they can find not only a variety of clothing options like Jackets, Shirts and Vests, but they can also find masks as well.

You can see the different masks for sell in RDO by visiting the Tailor or General Store.

To locate the masks currently on hand, browse to the Accessories portion of the catalogue. Here you’ll see a nice mixture of bandanas available for purchase. Some require much higher levels than others, and each one will cost a different amount of money as well. The cheapest bandana will be available for $20.25 at the time of this writing, with other options ranging from $21.50 to 2 Gold Bars.

How to Wear a Mask in RDO

Once you have purchased a mask from the Tailor or General Store in Red Dead Online, you’ll be able to equip it from the Weapon Wheel at any point. To do this, simply bring up the Weapon Wheel and navigate to the Item section. From here, locate the clothing option in the bottom left of the wheel and select the bandana icon. This will equip or unequip your mask as you need it.

Unfortunately, there don’t appear to be any of the full-face masks that appeared in Red Dead Redemption 2’s main campaign. At least, not as far as we can tell. If you’ve managed to find one, though, be sure to let us know in the comments so we can update this guide with the correct information.
