Google gaming keynote at GDC 2019 announced

One of the companies everyone expects to see at the Game Developer's Conference is Google. Typically around to showcase the latest developments in PC or mobile software, Google seems to have something else up its sleeves this year. The company has been sending out emails to various outlets and members of the media inviting them to a Google Keynote presentation where "all will be revealed," presumably in a demonstration of Google's Project Stream service.

The GDC 2019 Google Keynote invitation is rather plain: it gives a date for March 19, 2019, at 10 a.m. in San Francisco.

A link is included to RSVP, and the invitation notably includes a gif animation featuring light at the end of a long corridor. Credit to The Verge for the following image.

Though it's hard to say what the intended message is supposed to be, many are assuming it relates to Project Stream, a service intended to allow Google Chrome users to stream video games through their web browsers. If the software works as intended, it could certainly mean big things for Google. It could absolutely be a win for mobile gamers too, as PC-to-mobile streaming is already possible through the Steam Link app. If all this is indeed the case, making such an announcement at GDC would make perfect sense.

Of course, it's still a little too early to predict just what Google intends to say at its GDC 2019 keynote presentation. At least we do know to expect something interesting in March.
