Looking to add some new figures to your Sonic the Hedgehog toy collection?

Manufacturer JAKKS Pacific has you covered there. Today, SEGA of America announced a global toy licensing deal with the company to manufacture and distribute a new line of Sonic the Hedgehog toys. Beyond what you know as simple plastic action figures, this line will include plushes, playlets, figures, collectibles, and various other novelty items.

The toy line will be shown off at the International Toy Fair in New York this weekend, beginning February 16 and running through February 19.

“We are incredibly excited to work with SEGA of America to bring this iconic property and character to life,” said Craig Drobis, SVP Marketing at JAKKS Pacific. “The JAKKS line of toys, role-play, and dress-up extends the ‘Sonic’ experience from screen-time to play-time.”

Sonic is obviously an iconic gaming brand, and we'll be seeing a ton of new stuff featuring the blue blur including a special Pinball Track Set. Sonic fans pull the pinball launcher that shoots Sonic Spheres flying through twists and turns, including an exclusive Sonic Sphere and removable figure.

“As a best-in-class toy company that possesses an exemplary track record with legendary brands in the gaming space, it made perfect sense for us to enter into a partnership with JAKKS Pacific,” said Anoulay Tsai, Licensing Director at SEGA of America. “This is a great step forward for Sonic the Hedgehog as we endeavor to break barriers at the speed of sound in toys!”

The line will make its global launch this fall for Sonic fans three and up and will start at $4.99. Start saving those gold rings! These sound like some pretty serious items Sonic fans are going to want to snap up quick.
