Think you're a Halo superfan? You'll want to get in line to experience Halo: Outpost Discovery, a new way for fans to fully immerse themselves in the game's universe.

Halo: Outpost Discovery is a touring event that takes place over several weekends, bringing the Halo universe to life in ways fans haven't seen before. You get to step into the massive world of Halo, all the while checking out themed attractions, in-universe encounters, and the latest playable game releases. So that means if there's something new about Halo: Infinite around the corner, you'll likely be able to see it at one of the weekend events.

But what else can you do there? Honestly, it seems like a lot of pretty cool stuff. You can check out a Halo ring, hop into the driver's seat of a real Warthog, take part in laser tag with a cool Halo-themed laser tag arena, and jump into the game universe itself with simulation and VR tech. Hundreds of game stations, as well as themed panels, creator meet-and-greets, and special guests will be on offer as well. If you prefer to learn how to livestream gameplay or cosplay, you can chat about these things with experts there as well.

The experience kicks off this summer, with these cities on its schedule:

  • July 5-7 - Orlando
  • July 19-21 - Philadelphia
  • August 2-4 - Chicago
  • August 16-18 - Houston
  • August 30-September 1 - Anaheim

There's no word yet on whether the event will expand beyond these locations, so if you're planning on attending one, you might want to go ahead and mark your calendar so you can make it a point to hit one up later this summer. You can check out the Halo: Outpost Discovery official website for additional updates. Hopefully this means the news machine for Halo: Infinite will start cranking up and delivering tidbits again.
