The MOBA genre is the butt of many jokes, but remains wildly popular from high-profile titles to lesser known creations. The genre also produces some of the most exciting spectator entertainment with esports championships and the True Sight documentary gives us a glimpse behind the scenes for one of the biggest. The Internation 2018 Grand Finals pitted PSG.LGD and OG against each other in a battle for millions and now we can watch how it all came together for each of the professional teams.
The True Sight documentary series started initially in an episodic format in 2016. After the first three episodes, Valve published the Kiev Major Grand Finals, The International 2017, and now we have The International 2018 Finals. True Sight takes viewers behind the scenes of professional DOTA 2 teams. This edition of True Sight follows PSG.LGD and OG as they fight for the ultimate DOTA 2 honor.
Back in August, we recapped The International 2018 Grand Finals, but True Sight offers a much closer look at the esports competition and the happenings before the final matchup. OG was down 2-1 going into Game 4 of the Grand Final, but rallied in an incredibly exciting matchup. PSG.LGD didn't leave empty-handed, though, earning over $4 million for their placement in The Internation. OG took home over $11 million in prize money and recognition as the best DOTA 2 squad around.
DOTA 2 launched back in 2013 and players have enjoyed a constant stream of updates with new features, new heroes, and a whole lot more.
