Vizio was among the many electronic retailers present at this year's Consumer Electronics Show. Their presentation was mainly behind closed doors and what they had is certain to appeal to TV aficionados, audiophiles, and those who want to be on cusp of cutting-edge technology while staying on a budget. Shacknews was among the outlets invited to check out what was at this year's show.

Among the items on display were the V-Series, which ranges from 40 inches to 75 inches supporting 4K Ultra HD with HDR; the 2019 M-Series Quantum, with vibrant colors that pop out using quantum dot technology; and the P-Series Quantum, which doubles its dimming zones for its 2019 models. There's also the P-Series Quantum X, which Vizio is touting as its flagship product for this year's CES.

"If you're familiar with our 2018 P-Series Quantum, this is the successor of our P-Series Quantum," Vizio Director of TV Product Marketing Carlos Angulo told Shacknews. "The P-Series Quantum X will feature up to 480 local dimming zones, up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness, and combined with quantum dot technology. The idea there is that this will be Vizio's brightest TV ever and we will be able to achieve our deepest, darkest black detail that we've ever been able to achieve and, combine that with quantum dot technology, the picture will be absolutely stunning. New for 2019 is that the P-Series Quantum X will be available in a 65-inch and a 75-inch size class."

Angulo also goes into the topic of what these budget-class TVs and their technological advancements mean for the everyday video game player. Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
