It looks like there's a second season of DLC content coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ.

During Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball Games Super Showcase livestream, producer Tomoko Hiroki replied to host Dmitry Khlynin's question about whether fans could expect another season of fighters in the game with a coy answer. Dragon Ball FighterZ fans, be on guard!

"Yes. I really want to say it, but please wait until the FighterZ finals," said Hiroki. The Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals isn't set to occur until January 26 and January 27, so if we're getting an announcement, it looks like that's the time to expect it.

We already had a sneaking suspicion that the game might feature a second wave of fighters, thanks to Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe's official YouTube's acknowledgement of user comments asking for more fighters. The team had asked fans to "save the date" for the same days, January 26 and January 27. It looks like it's essentially set in stone at this point, but as far as which characters to expect? We've got no clue.

Currently, there are 21 playable characters in the base game, 3 additional unlock able characters, and 8 available as DLC. The game's roster includes a wide variety of different personalities from the show, like Goku, Vegeta, Majin Buu, Goku Black, Beerus, and several others. It's got a surprisingly robust selection of favorites for a fighting game, which is part of the reason it's been so well-received by fans.

If you can't wait for more Dragon Ball fighters to be added to the game, might want to go ahead and start brainstorming as to who's left to add that's of any real consequence. A few joke characters might be a fun addition, especially since the show is chock full of them. Would anyone be opposed to Dr. Slump's Arale-chan making a guest appearance?
