CES 2019: NVIDIA GeForce RTX to power over 40 new gaming laptops

As the company handles questions about the new lineup of hardware announced at CES 2019, NVIDIA is also attempting to pave the way for new partnerships by showing just how far the American technology company reaches. Gaming on the go is becoming more popular and NVIDIA announced that GeForce RTX powers a record number of gaming laptops that are coming to market.

RIght alongside the launch of the RTX 2060, which was revealed at CES 2019, 40 new laptop models in 100-plus different configurations will be available later in January. Specific models featuring the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 should offer gamers a strong device without completely breaking the bank, as well.

“Laptops are the fastest growing gaming platform — and just getting started,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, who introduced the lineup at the start of the annual CES tradeshow. “The world’s top OEMs are using Turing to bring next-generation console performance to thin, sleek laptops that gamers can take anywhere. Hundreds of millions of people worldwide — an entire generation — are growing up gaming. I can’t wait for them to experience this new wave of laptops.”

The new laptops powered by the latest GeForce RTX GPUs will include these features:

17 of the 40 new models will feature Max-Q design, which aims for the "thinnest, fastest, and quietest" laptops that can be managed. Many use NVIDIA Optimus tech, which delivers up to 2x more battery life.
