Watch NVIDIA's CES 2019 Keynote here

NVIDIA is starting the New Year off strong with a press conference at CES 2019. Though not much is known about what NVIDIA plan to discuss at tonight’s keynote, there’s a good chance they’ll expand on the numerous announcements revealed at Gamescom last year. You can watch the NVIDIA CES keynote right here at Shacknews.

Founder and CEO Jensen Huang will be taking to the Grand Ballroom stage at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas to discuss the various NVIDIA products. The event is set to kick off at 8 PM Pacific on Sunday, January 6. For those who aren't lucky enough to be there in person to see the leather jacket-wearing CEO talk about technological feats, NVIDIA will be streaming the event on their Twitch channel.

For those playing along at home, one of NVIDIA's biggest gaming related advancements is real-time ray tracing technology, a feature that is now available in Battlefield 5. Ray tracing is “a rendering technique that’s able to provide ultra-realistic shadows and lighting in games”, essentially making your games look fantastic. While ray tracing was revealed at GDC 2018, NVIDIA only unveiled the Quadro RTX – the world’s first ray tracing GPU – at SIGGRAPH 2018 in August. It’s been a few months now, so further developments could likely be discussed at CES 2019.

NVIDIA also revealed the earth-shattering GeForce RTX 2070, 2080, and 2080 Ti, three GPUs that will not only make your wallet cry, but has likely caused many an AMD engineer a bit of grief. There are some rumors floating around that NVIDIA will be announcing an RTX 2060, a slightly-more-affordable option for those looking to upgrade from a 1080 Ti.

With only a little while until Jensen Huang takes to the stage, take a moment to figure out your finances because there’s a good chance NVIDIA will have something juicy for us all to purchase.
