Star Citizen free-to-play with all ships flyable next week

Published , by Brittany Vincent

Star Citizen will be having a free-fly event next week to celebrate the release of the game's first planet.

Each day will put the spotlight on a different series of craft, and players will get a chance to fly every one of the 80+ pilotable vehicles available in Star Citizen. This will come with the release of Alpha 3.3.5 which besides the significant additions of Planet Hurston and its main city Lorville, introduces Object Container Streaming, which should increase performance in-game for the majority of players.

The Star Citizen free-fly will take place from November 23 through November 30, and during this time the game will be free-to-play. Each day will feature flyable ships from one of the major starship manufacturers in the game. The free-fly ship schedule is as follows: November 23: Anvil Aerospace

November 24: Roberts Space Industries

November 25: Origin Jumpworks

November 26: Aegis Dynamics

November 27: Drake Interplanetary

November 28: Alien Manufacturers

November 29: Musashi Industrial and Starflight Concern

November 30: Kruger/Argo/Tumbril/Consolidated Outland

Now's a great time to check out Star Citizen, and you can do it during the free-fly risk-free. The game is starting to move out of the realm of being a fun tech demo and beginning to shape into what Cloud Imperium Games has been promising it would. With each Alpha release, the game is more stable, and the pipeline has really opened up concerning content. You can even purchase ships with in-game currency you earn through missions now.

In the meantime, be sure to check out our Star Citizen developer interview for more things Roberts Space Industries.
