John C. Gaeta invented Matrix Bullet Time, and he has had his hands in a lot of amazing visual effects innovation over the years. He is currently Senior Vice President of Creative Strategy at Magic Leap. We caught up with John at the 2018 View Conference and chatted about the evolution of visual effects and his time at ILMxLAB. He also spends some time addressing the challenge of telling a story in augmented reality and VR. "I think it is about world building and creating really fascinating simulations for humans to step into and to take from," said Gaeta. Please take a look at the entire interview to hear more.
