Keita Takahashi talks Wattam, moving to Vancouver, and potential Switch ports

Our PAX West interview is a fun chat with the Katamari Damacy creator.

Keita Takahashi is the famed creator behind the Katamari Damacy series. Shacknews caught up with him at PAX West 2018 to chat about his upcoming title Wattam as well as a host of other topics.

"When I moved to Vancouver from Tokyo, Vancouver is a very special place. So many different people living there and working together. It's totally different from Japan. In Japan, almost everyone speak only Japanese. They don't speak English."

Wattam doesn't have a projected release date beyond what Takahashi notes as potentially the end of the year, but it looks like an absolutely adorable affair.

As far as whether Wattam will come to Switch or not, Takahashi remarked that he's got to finish Wattam first and "see how things go" before looking into any sort of Switch release. Maybe someday!
