A ton of announcements are being made during today's Nintendo Direct and this one teases the firsts in an entire genre for the platform. Asmodee Digital, a company known for their quality digital remakes of popular board games, is bringing Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game, Pandemic, and Carcassonne. Carcassonne will be available December 2018, Lord of the Rings: Living Card Game is due April 2019, and Pandemic will be available in March 2019.
Catan and Munchkin were also teased at the end of the segment, so this is just the beginning of consumers being able to play digital board games on the Nintendo Switch.
