Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director J.A. Bayona talks Jurassic Park gaming and tech

Published , by Brittany Vincent

Shacknews recently sat down with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom director J.A. Bayona for a chat about the film, the tech that went into bringing it to fruition, and even the game that released alongside the film: Jurassic World: Evolution.

"Everyone talks about the first Jurassic Park for the groundbreaking visual effects. Of course that was a game-changer at the time, but I think it's the heart that Steven put in the story that kept these movies alive," said Bayona during our interview. He also spoke at length about some of the tech and creative decisions that went hand in hand with bringing the film's many dinosaurs to life and making sure they were believable.

"The dinosaurs need to feel real in order to allow the audience to have those feelings toward them. I was very specific with having more animatronics with the visual effects department."

Make sure you check out the entirety of the interview above for more of Bayona's thoughts on the film and the various aspects that went into making it a success. For more awesome videos, including inside looks at upcoming games, game convention coverage, and in-depth interviews with the industry's hottest stars, be sure to follow both Shacknews and GamerHub.tv over on YouTube.
