Nintendo to host interactive Labo workshops for children in 10 US cities

Parents can register for a free ticket through the official Nintendo Labo website and kids won't have to bring anything to participate.

Nintendo is taking the versatile Switch into a new space. Starting in September, Nintendo is hosting hour-long workshops where children between 9 and 12 years old can participate in Nintendo-Labo-powered interactive activities. 10 cities across the US will host the workshops and attendance is free.

The official Nintendo Labo Workshop website reveals these specific cities will be getting the event:

  • Phoenix, Arizona
  • Knoxville, Tennessee
  • Orange County, California
  • Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • Baltimore, Maryland
  • Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • Savannah, Georgia
  • Denver, Colorado
  • Seattle Washington

Nintendo Labo enhances the Nintendo Switch via cardboard DIY creations and kits that encourage creativity and play. These tools can be used for fishing activities, piloting a mech, driving a car, and more.

Parents can register the children on the Nintendo Labo website. They'll have to choose their area and a time slot. Participants only have to bring their ticket, so no need to bring their own Nintendo Switch or Labo sets. There's a robust FAQ on the official webpage that can answer just about any questions parents may have.
