Can't wait for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate? Join the club. Neither can the rest of the world. Now, the wait's going to seem just a bit more difficult, as Nintendo has announced a new accessory to coincide with the upcoming title: the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, which is releasing on December 7 as a special tie-in. You read that right, we're getting a new Pro Controller, and it's going to be awesome!

You can go ahead and lock your preorder in for the base game itself now, but the Special Edition is going to have to wait. The official Nintendo site urges you to preorder the bundle from your "favorite online store" but also says to "check back for retailers." We'll keep you posted as to which retailers this alludes to and what retailers will indeed be stocking it.

Don't forget that you'll also be able to get the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Edition GameCube Controller this holiday season, as well as the GameCube Controller Adapter, just in case you want to keep things old school and kick it the classic way when the big game finally hits this December.

Which controller will you opt for when it's time to Smash? Let us know which one you've got in mind and which character you think you'll main, too.
