Chromebooks are solid products for those that fully understand what they're getting into when they grab one. Affordability and function centered on web-based productivity are at the forefront of Google Chromebook appeal and a newly revealed device is providing another option that won't break the bank. The new 12" Chromebook C223 features 4GB of RAM, a Celeron n3350, and 32GB of storage.

XDA revealed the new device and shared the specs, which include a 2-cell, 38Wh polymer battery, 2 USB Type-C ports, 1 USB-A port, a microSD port, and headphone jack. That battery paired with the Celeron n3350 should get the C223 roughly 10 hours of battery life.

An official Asus webpage for the C223, but there's still no official pricing or release date available. XDA predicts that this low-to-mid range Chromebook will set consumers back about €320 or $362. The form factor matches most of Asus' line of Chromebooks and will be a light device to keep on your person for work, web surfing, and some media consumption.
