The remastered versions of Shenmue I & II are releasing toward the end of August and, in an effort to prepare new and old players, Sega has teamed up with the English voice actor for the game's lead character for a series of videos. In the first, Corey Marshall talks to us about the setting and story of both games and guides us through the investigation of the murder of Ryo Hazuki's father and Ryo's quest for revenge.
The Dragon Mirror, the item series villain Lan Di killed Ryo's father for, is discussed in the video above as well. This video is only part one in this "Shenmue 101" series of videos. As promotion for the announcement of the remaster, Sega also took a couple of the game's biggest fans to the real-life locales in the Shenmue series.
The remastered collection of Shenmue I & II is available for pre-order right now on Steam, Xbox Marketplace, and PSN with a 10% discount. The launches on those platforms August 21, 2018. Stay tuned to Shacknews for additional updates.
