The Walking Dead: The Final Season Teaser Gives Us More Grizzled Clementine

This is a version of Clementine we've never really gotten to know.

At long last, Telltale's The Walking Dead adventure series is drawing to a close. But it won't be going out with a whimper, not by a long shot. Fans can join a grown-up, much more mature version of Clementine as she makes her last outing of the series, with her story drawing to a close. The Walking Dead - The Final Season's latest teaser showcases just a few key scenes from the game intercut with some new footage, ahead of the first episode's debut next month.

The Walking Dead has featured young Clementine ever since the first episode, where we met her as well as protagonist Lee. Unfortunately, Lee is no longer with us, and Clementine has had to make her own way through the tumultuous world after the zombie apocalypse wrecked lives and families. She's a fan-favorite character, and she's grown older and wiser over the course of the game, so we can't see where the final season leads her.

The first episode can be picked up on August 14 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, but it will also be hitting Nintendo Switch later this year. There's also exclusive gameplay being shown off during San Diego Comic Con today, so we'll keep an eye out for that, as should you. We're ready for a proper sendoff for Clem, and we hope it's fitting of her memorable character!
