Game fans and Nintendo Switch owners with a taste for old-school JRPG action will certainly be interested in checking out Octopath Traveler, the latest Switch release from the crew at Square Enix. Dropping players into the stories of eight different protagonists, the game is packed with retro styling and topped off with a generous serving of Unreal engine-powered visuals. When Does Octopath Traveler Release for Nintendo Switch? What's Included in the Special Edition?

Octopath Traveler releases for the Nintendo Switch via physical retailers and the Switch eShop on July 13, 2018. Players who simply desire the standard experience can pick up the base version of the game at their favorite retailers or online; alternatively, players who want all the extra goodies can opt for the Octopath Traveler: Wayfarer's Edition, which in addition to the game cartridge comes with an eight-page popup book, a two-side cloth map of the world, a CD full of a selection of the game's music, and a replica coin representing the Octopath Traveler in-game currency.
