The crew at Nintendo dropped some hot news on players just earlier with the announcement of not one but three new Pokemon games for the Nintendo Switch. The first two are Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, while the third is the unusual new series entry titled Pokemon Quest. The cutesy voxel-style adventure is free-to-start, and we've got all the information players need in order to download and start lpaying Pokemon Quest.

How to Download Pokemon Quest on Nintendo Switch

The process for downloading Pokemon Quest on the Nintendo Switch is the same as just about any other game on the system. First, boot up the Nintendo Switch, and from the homescreen, choose the icon that opens up the Switch eShop — it's the orange-tinted one with the picture of the shopping bag.

From the eShop homescreen, move focus to the left-hand pane to highlight the search icon, and in the field that says "enter keyword," type in Pokemon Quest. We've heard reports that some players can't find the game using the full title, so barring that, players can also simply type in "quest" and search for Pokemon Quest in the returned search results.

Locate the Pokemon Quest game listing and then press A or tap on the icon to continue. On the next page, focus on the right-hand pane and select the option to download the game. From there, Pokemon Quest will be added to the home screen and downloaded automatically, assuming the player has enough available storage space on the device.

That's all there is to it. The game isn't very large, just 221 megabytes, so it shouldn't take too long to download and install. Players who want to learn more about the game can check out our guide that poses the obvious question: just what is Pokemon Quest?
