New Mario Tennis Aces Gameplay Shows Off Intense, Arcadey Matches

If you didn't have a hankering to play tennis with your favorite Nintendo characters before, you will after checking out the latest Mario Tennis Aces trailer. The new footage shows off some of the most intense matches we've seen between Mario, Luigi, Peach, and the rest of the crew since the days of Mario Tennis on Nintendo 64. This new Switch exclusive looks excellent, and if the early footage we've seen is any indication, it's going to be a bit of a smash, as far as Mario arcade sports are concerned.

Luckily, the game is getting a free demo, so anyone with a Nintendo Switch can try out the game early, ahead of its June 22 release. Nintendo announced today that the prelaunch demo event will run from June 1 through June 3, and during that time players can try out the game nearly a month ahead of time to play a special online tournament version of the game.

There's a lot to look forward to with this new iteration of the Mario Tennis series, with plenty of new moves and lots of other reasons to come back to the sports franchise, even if you thought you'd seen all it had to offer.
