Larian Studios' Divinity: Original Sin 2 ran away with our Best RPG and Best PC Game awards last year and console gamers learned in April that they'd be able to try out the dense, turn-based RPG sometime this year. Divinity: Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition is releasing on Xbox One and PS4 in August, but Xbox players will get to try it out a bit earlier. Bandai Namco will be handling the publishing duties for the Xbox One version and the game will be headed to the Xbox game preview service on May 16, 2018.
Any players that are a part of the preview program will get instant access to the first three hours of Divinity: Original Sin 2, which is more than enough time to get into to high-fantasy hijinks.

The entire first act of Divinity: Original Sin 2, which comes to about 20 hours of gameplay, is available via pre-order and the save files will work with the retail launch version. Wow, that's barely enough time to get off the ship at the beginning if you're new to the game and actually want to talk to the NPC's and so on... Definitely not enough time to get off the starting island unless you're on a speed run or something.
