Destiny 2 Introduces Escalation Protocol, A New Horde Mode With Unique Rewards
Looks like a brand new mode is coming in tandem with the new Warmind expansion.
Destiny 2 is welcoming a new mode with the introduction of the Warmind expansion called Escalation Protocol, and it's coming soon.
Escalation Protocol is a new mode that was inspired by the development team's desire to supply players with a more difficult experience that they'd want to return to and complete. The new mode operates like a public event that must be activated by players. The objective draws in waves of Hive enemies and, as you progress, stronger versions of Hive will arrive.
There are seven waves and, on the seventh, there's a unique boss fight with a unique gameplay mechanic. Five bosses will rotate every week, keeping players on their toes. The bosses themselves drop unique rewards and this activity as a whole will feature unique drops.
