Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin Sees the Future on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive

More Psychonauts? More Psychonauts!

Double Fine Productions has graced the gaming populace with another entry in the excellent Psychonauts series. Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin is now available for both the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive for the very reasonable price of $19.99. Previously, the game was an exclusive release for Sony's PlayStation VR, debuting back on February 21, 2017. Now it's made the leap to PC-based VR environments, and you can nab it right now.

Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin takes place between the events that unfolded in the original Psychonauts and the upcoming sequel, Psychonauts 2, all developed and published by the one, the only, Double Fine Productions. It's been a long time since Psychonauts debuted, and you're understandably ready to see a little footage of the game before you decide to make your purchase. I understand, so make sure you feast your eyes upon the launch trailer below for some tasty VR-centric morsels.

This Psychonauts adventure takes you through the game with first-person mechanics rather than the platforming you may be used to. In fact, it's closer to a point-and-click adventure than a typical Psychonauts game, and you can even use Raz's telekinesis and psychokinesis to solve puzzles.

If that all sounds like your cup of tea, the game is 20% off its regular price for its first week of release only. Make sure you pick it up now if you're ready to pounce, as it looks like a fun riff on the Psychonauts lore...at least until you can jump into the proper sequel.
