Your first day on the job is always a nerve-wracking experience, even if you know exactly what to expect. Who are you going to sit with at lunch? Are you going to be able to perform your job duties well? Will you last at your new position? And what's going on with your weird coworkers? I-is that blood? I imagine those last two questions are more appropriate for your first day in the upcoming "first job survival horror" title Yuppie Psycho.
Developer Baroque Decay has announced that the quirky title is now coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch in addition to PC, as confirmed during Tokyo Sandbox 2018. It's planned for a fall release, and it sounds like an absolute treat. You'll take up the role of Brian Pasternack, a young man who finds himself starting a new job at a large company in a strange '90s dystopian society. Sintracorp owns Pasternack's soul now, of course, and he's got to combat all the quirks that come along with starting a brand new job, even i it kills him.
As it turns out, Brian's role at Sintracorp is nothing like a regular 9 to 5 affair. He's actually supposed to be hunting a "witch" who's come back around to start tormenting the company's employees. You've got to learn the ways of the workplace and office protocol as you dig into the company's sinister past, all the while avoiding a case of the Mondays. If you know all about being a corporate shill, Yuppie Psycho should be on your must-play list.
