Hunters who like to keep up on the latest Destiny 2 news by now have certainly checked on the latest updates to the game's development roadmap. For those who haven't, the news on offer is substantial, primarily because developer Bungie has finally revealed a name and even a release date for the game's newest incoming expansion.
Formally titled Warmind, the latest Destiny 2 expansion is slated to land right around the start of the game's third season. Details surrounding the expansion are particularly slim, but the recent development roadmap update posted on the Bungie website does provide a little something to whet players' appetites, including a not-too-distant release date:
"On May 8, with the beginning of Season Three, we’re also launching the second expansion to Destiny 2. It’s called Warmind, and it will send you to new places to meet new heroes and battle new enemies. You’ll earn new loot and master new activities. Today, we’re naming it and dating it. You’ll learn more in a reveal stream on April 24. Mark your calendars and follow us on Twitch."
Until that time, players can still get excited about some of the incoming changes to the game that will be introduced in the 1.2.0 update. Among such features as private matches, multi-emote support, and seasonal vendor progression, players will also be able to enjoy seasonal crucible rankings, heroic strike modifiers, and an increase to available vault space. For more information regarding changes to the roadmap and some extra details straight from the development team, head on over to the official Bungie website, and be sure not to miss out on the Warmind livestream reveal on April 24 by following Bungie over on Twitch.
