If you've been playing through Warhammer: Vermintide 2 since its release, you may have found that it's a little too hard for your tastes, and you wouldn't be alone. The sequel to Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, the game is developer Fatshark's latest project, and it's deliciously bloody in all the right ways. Unfortunately for some, it might have a bit too steep of a difficulty curve.
Vermintide 2 is getting a sizeable new update in the form of patch 1.0.5, which is all aimed at making things a little bit easier in terms of difficulty. It looks like some players are taking issue with the game and its high level of challenge. Instead of having said players "git gud," instead the patch will include buffs for all 15 in-game career paths, with each hero getting a boost in power against Chaos and Skaven enemies. Marauders, for instance, have been changed so that they'll block less incoming damage to adjacent enemies, and Blightstormers have had their health drained significantly.
Items with higher difficulty levels have been altered as well, with chests on Veteran difficulty capped at 300 Hero Power rather than 200. You can now earn Veteran items from a significantly higher number of chests now, with higher drop rates. Champion and Legendary difficulties have not been capped, however.
