Twitch Mobile App Gets Extensions Support

Enhance your mobile Twitch experience with some amazing third party tools.

1

As Twitch grew to reach an audience of millions, the content creators who used the service turned to third party applications to make their streams easier to manage. These tools included chat enhancers, overlays, leaderboards, and more. The Twitch platform introduced official support for such addons about 6 months ago via Twitch Extensions. Today’s big news from the streaming giant is that Twitch Extensions support will be available on the Twitch Mobile App, letting creators and viewers take the enhancements on the go.

Twitch Extensions support will now be usable by both the iOS and Android versions of the official Twitch Mobile App. Viewers using their mobile devices can now interact with overlays, participate in votes, and more. Some of the most popular extensions that are now mobile compatible include Streamlab, Schedule, and World of Warcraft Armory.

If there is an extension that you would like to see on mobile, you can submit a request to the developer here.
