Zombie Outbreak Mode Kicks Off Rainbow Six: Siege Season 3 DLC Releases

Operation Chimera and the Outbreak event get official release dates as they open up year three of Rainbow Six: Siege.

Ubisoft teased their upcoming Outbreak mode and a few other things coming in year three of Rainbow Six: Siege back in November 2017, but fans are getting a more in-depth look at upcoming content. Operation Chimera and the Outbreak event are the openers for year three and we've got the breakdown below.

In Outbreak, players will choose their best team of three to enter an infested town called Truth or Consequences to take down the viral threat. Players will encounter exploding monsters, hulking creatures, and more. The destructive elements of Siege will be pushed to the edge in this new encounter. The two new operators, one from France and the other from Russia, are specialists for situations such as these.

Operation Chimera will hit test servers first on February 19 and then move to all platforms March 6. Outbreak will start on February 20 on test servers and move to platforms on March 6, running until April 3. Much to the chagrin of those that haven't purchased Siege yet, Ubisoft raised the price of the game. It's almost they did this in anticipation of the Outbreak events potential popularity, but will it be worth it?
