Dragon Ball FighterZ lets you play as your favorite heroes so you can pummel the stuffing out of each other. But everyone knows who you really want to play as: Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta. Unfortunately, they require some specific actions to obtain, and they're not available from the get-go as soon as you start playing. The simplest way to get them was to pre-order the game from the retailer of your choice, but seeing as the game is out now, that's not going to be an option. Luckily, there are other ways to do it. If you want to fight with two of the most popular Dragon Ball characters out there in their awesome new Super Saiyan Blue forms, we've got everything you need to know about unlocking them in-game.

How to Unlock Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta

As previously stated, one very simple way to get Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta was to pre-order Dragon Ball FighterZ, but that isn't possible now, unfortunately. You can still grind in-game to get the characters, however, and you have a few different options.

You can earn 300,000 zeni in-game to unlock Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, and 500,000 zeni to unlock Super Saiyan Blue Goku. This path will take you a little while, but it's one of the safest bets. You'll need to amass a small fortune of zeni as you play Dragon Ball FighterZ, and the game will keep track of your collective amount you've accumulated over the course of the game. So don't worry about saving it up and spending it to get Goku or Vegeta. All you need to do is earn it, and the game handles the rest.

When you hit 300,000 zeni, you will automatically unlock Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta. Just grab that extra 200,000 zeni and you'll automatically unlock Super Saiyan Blue Goku as well. You can check the Player Info and Player Data menu while in the lobby menu if you pause the game and check and see how much zeni you've amassed since the beginning of the game, so you can always have some sort of idea of your progress to unlock completion.

Alternatively, you can complete the Extreme Gravity Spaceship Course in Arcade Mode on Hard difficulty with an A rank or higher for Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, or the Hyperbolic Time Chamber Course in Arcade Mode on Hard difficulty with an A rank or higher for Super Saiyan Blue Goku.

This means you’ll have to rise through the ranks of three courses in Arcade Mode, which is comprised of Snake Way, Extreme Gravity Spaceship and Hyperbolic Time Chamber. You’ll get a harder difficulty of each one when you play through the entire course, and then you need to complete the course on that harder difficulty. You have to get an A rank or higher though, on Extreme Gravity Spaceship for Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta. You must get an A rank or higher on Hyperbolic Time Chamber for Super Saiyan Blue Goku.

Being frank, these courses are no walk in the park, but they can be completed with time and practice. That way you’ll be on to unlocking both characters in no time. In the meantime, check out Super Saiyan Blue Goku in his respective trailer below!
