Hold onto your eyepatches and dust off your favorite cardboard boxes, the Metal Gear Survive beta launches next week. Starting on January 18th and running until January 21st, the beta will give players a chance to earn some exclusive in-game loot for the full version when it launches.

The demo will include three missions and two maps for players to explore along with Metal Gear Survive’s co-op mode. PS4 players will get to try out the beta regardless of whether or not they have a Playstation Plus subscription, but Xbox One players will need a Live subscription. Unfortunately, PC gamers will not be getting a beta of their own.

Along with the beta, Konami also hooked up IGN with 6 minutes of exclusive gameplay footage to get everyone hyped. Metal Gear Survive is scheduled to launch in the US on February 20th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
