Greetings, Guardians. Xur has returned to Destiny 2, bringing with him his normal collectiong of exotic weapons and armor. He's also packing the lovely Fated Engram, as well as the silly Three of Coins.
Where is Xur?
Xur is curently in the Giant's Scar region on IO. Io is the Flashpoint this week, so plenty of things should be available for you to do while you're visiting the Agent of the Nine.
What is Xur Selling?
Xur has brought with him the Three of Coins to help you get more exotic drops as you play the game, and he’s got something called the Fated Engram, which is guaranteed to give you an exotic weapon or armor piece that isn’t currently in your collection. Skip the Three of Coins, since Bungie has already stated that it's not working. The Fated Engram, however, is as good a buy as you can find if you're hoping to finish off your exotic collection in Destiny 2.
- Merciless Exotic Fusion Rifle - 29 Legendary Shards
- Young Ahamkara's Spin Exotic Hunter Gauntlets - 23 Legendary Shards
- Mask of the Quiet One Exotic Titan Helmet - 23 Legendary Shards
- Wings of Sacred Dawn Exotic Warlock Chest Armor - 23 Legendary Shards
- Three of Coins - 31 Legendary Shards
- Fated Engram - 97 Legendary Shards
What Should You Buy?
I've played Destiny 2 long enough to be able to confidently tell you to buy any exotic items you don't have, even if you don't want them. There is a great chance that items that are exotic in nature will see balances and buffs as time goes on, so what doesn't work for you today could be the best item in the game tomorrow. Start by buying armor you don't have, then move on to the weapon. If the weapon is one of the best in the game, you might start there first, but as a general rule I fill out my missing armor before anything else. The Fated Engram is a great way to do this.
That’ll do it for Xur this week. If you need help finding the best use for your exotic weapons and armor, be sure to visit the Shacknews Destiny 2 complete strategy guide.
